On May 31, 2025, the legendary musical Elisabeth 2025 made a triumphant return to Budapest Arena, featuring a dazzling star-studded cast. Original leads Kata Janza (Elisabeth) and Szilveszter P. Elisabeth 2025, with libretto and lyrics by Michael Kunze and music by Sylvester Levay, is a Vienna-born masterpiece chronicling the turbulent life of Empress Elisabeth and her fateful encounters with Death. Since its Hungarian premiere in 1996, the show has garnered a devoted following. Its universal themes, weaving together complex human relationships, continue to resonate deeply with audiences.
Under the artistic direction of Kata Janza and staging by Szilveszter P. Szabó, with musical direction by László Maklary, this extraordinary production was brought to life through the collaboration of KaposMusical and the Janza Kata Team. Costume designers SZASENKA® and Mónika Czédli infused every garment with exquisite detail and opulence.
Kata Janza portrayed Elisabeth from the age of 16 to 61 with stunning precision, illuminating the stage with her emotionally rich and powerful voice. Szilveszter P. Szabó embodied Death with an almost metaphysical presence—his captivating, profound voice left a haunting resonance throughout the arena.
Attila Dolhai’s portrayal of Crown Prince Rudolf revealed even greater emotional depth than before, expressing the pain and turmoil of a troubled life with nuanced vocal mastery. Tamás Földes, as Luigi Lucheni, impressed with natural charisma and commanding vocal strength. Ádám Bálint (Emperor Franz Joseph) delivered a superb vocal and dramatic performance, while young Jombor Horváth, portraying 10-year-old Rudolf, impressed with his clear voice and confident stage presence. Piroska Molnár brought to life the message “Music transcends all” through a soul-stirring performance that deeply moved the entire audience.

観客総立ち！ハンガリー版『エリザベート2025』─ブダペスト・アリーナに蘇った伝説のミュージカル！
2025年5月31日、名作ミュージカル『エリザベート』が豪華キャストとともにブダペスト・アリーナに帰ってきた。オリジナルキャストのヤンザ・カタ（エリザベート役）、サボー・P・シルヴェステル（死＝トート役）らが一堂に会し、ファン待望の一夜限りのスペクタクルが実現した。
ソリスト、アンサンブル、合唱、オーケストラ、ダンスを含む、時代考証に基づいた豪華衣装と共に、緻密に計算された演出や小道具、振付が施された。2幕構成による全曲演奏形式の本公演は、コンサート形式を超えた総合芸術としてアリーナの大空間に広がった。
エリザベートは脚本・作詞ミヒャエル・クンツェ、作曲シルヴェスター・リーヴァイの名コンビによるウィーン発のミュージカルである。波乱に満ちたエリザベート皇后の人生と、“死（トート）”との運命の出会いを描いた物語は世界中で高い評価を受け、1996年のハンガリー初演以来、根強いファン層を築いてきた。様々な人間模様が織りなす普遍的なドラマとして、観客の心を捉え続けている。

ヤンザ・カタは16歳から61歳までのエリザベートを見事に演じ分け、美しく繊細で情熱的な歌唱力と共に舞台の光そのものとなった。サボー・P・シルヴェステルによる死の存在は、舞台の空気を変えてしまうほどの存在感。伸びのある魅力的な声は深みを伴い、魂を揺さぶる。
ルドルフを演じたドルハイ・アティッラの危機と苦悩に満ちた美しい歌唱表現力はさらに磨きがかけられ、人生そのものの重みが映し出される。ルイジ・ルッキーニ役のフェルデシュ・タマーシュの自然体ながらも圧倒的な存在感と歌唱力には脱帽。皇帝フェレンツ役のバーリント・アーダムの見事なまでの歌唱力と演技力、10歳のルドルフを演じたホルバート・ジョンボルの美しく澄んだ歌声や、大舞台での堂々とした演技、モルナール・ピロシュカの「音楽はすべてを超える」というメッセージを体現した魂のステージは、観客すべての心を打った。
